Roscoe Texas is a small town, located 55 miles west of Abilene.

 

The Roscoe VFD provides fire suppression, rescue, and first response services to 340 square miles of northwestern Nolan County. The department was established in 1906 and continues it's proud tradition of service to the community.

 

An all-volunteer department, Roscoe VFD is made up of dedicated citizens who want to make their community a safer place to live. The department operates one E-One Engine, a 3,000 gallon water tender, three type III brush trucks, one type VI brush truck,, one rescue unit, and a 1938 Town and Country fire engine.

Join Us!

If you live within a 15 minute drive from Roscoe and are at least 20 years of age, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Whether it's fighting fires, taking care of the sick or injured, driving/pump operations or helping out with fundraisers, we could use you! Joining is easy and simple. Just fill out the online application print it, sign it, and bring it to one of our business meetings. Once turned in, you will need to attend at least 2 more meetings/trainings and get two letters of recommendation from our members. Meetings are held the first Monday of each month at the fire station beginning at 6:00pm. Trainings are held every second and third Monday at 6:00pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. Come out and join today.
